So its been a LONG time since I have updated, there has been so much going on.
Ill try to list it

Greg took the Bar exam. God love his heart. he felt pretty good about the 1st day of essays but came out of the multiple choice part of the exam feeling cruddy, as did most of his friends and most other test takers.
He came home spent, and exhausted. But the relief on the mans face and in his demeanor was priceless. Thank GOD thats over.

We found our apartment in Owensboro!! We found a cute little duplex, on the outskirts of town… basically in a neighborhood located in a cornfield. We also bought our 1st piece of furniture as a married couple!!! A new COUCH!!!( and an awesome coffee table!!!) We are very proud of this purchase because our current couches were purchased for 60 dollars off the side of the road about 6 years ago!!

Last friday, with the help of some family… we moved EVERY SINGLE belonging of ours to our new apartment in Owensboro….. (with the exception of the old couch and television which i am sleeping on and watching right now) and Greg is there.
I gotta tell you, its a lot harder than I thought it was going to be, to be here in our first married dwelling looking at where our bed use to be, seeing in the closet where his clothes were hung….its ROUGH. And i didnt cry… not one tear, until today, when i came home from work, and opened the door…. and nobody said
“Goooooob, hey hun!” I was alone…. it broke my heart.

I know that we are only separated for 2 weeks, but its been one day and it feels like an eternity.

But, on a lighter note which makes this all more bearable…
Today was his first day… and he LOVED it…he got to go to court and the people he works with are fantastic… enough to make any wife proud.

I hate to be so abrupt but im so busy right now!! Ill post more later!!!

  2. Gah it is so hard to leave somewhere you are emotionally attached to. I was miserable, absolutely miserable, when we left our first married apartment. It was far from perfect, but no other place can compare, and I realized too late that it was just because we were so happy there. And even though this place can’t hold a candle to the old place, I’m sure when we eventually move out I will be absolutely devastated and forget all about the roaches, the ants, the neighbors, the overflowing toilet, the AC and dishwasher that randomly flood our floors. Two weeks is a long time while you’re going through it!
