Look What came in the maiiilllll….

A whole whoppin 28 pounds of pure…ummm… well Barbri books…

Yes, its them! The long awaited Barbri bar prep books.

I was excited to see them, similar to the feeling of the first day of school where you have all your new books and school supplies. But I of course am not the one who will be taking the Bar, nor am I the one who will be studying those boring looking books for 2 straight months. (did they ALL have to be green? no other colors?)

Needless to say, the husband wasn’t as excited to see them as I was.

Bless his heart.. it’s just straight from one thing to the next.

Hopefully the next few months will fly by and this 27 pound box of books will prove to be a good investment like they say it is… (start saving now 1L wives the price goes up every year and its not pretty)…

For the moment, they have been placed neatly back in the box and quietly tucked beneath the desk in the office until the class begins in a week!!!! Out of sight, out of mind!

  1. So THAT is what we put a huge down payment on?! I wish I could post a picture response. I am currently starring at a single book entitled “Barbri First Year Review.” WOW… what we have to look forward to. BLESS YOU AND YOUR HOUSEHOLD during this time!!!!

  2. Love the expression on his face!

It’s CRAZY how expensive the books were for med school – I imagine law school is similar. All the texts, study aids, test prep books… Yikes!

  3. oh goodness. the sweet victory of graduation is so short-lived, hmm? Best of luck to you two during this unpleasant time. Do you have any plans for yourself? I hear it’s good to travel and get out of your student’s hair, but since I earn the salary around here, I am already planning to ship the mister off to his parents for a couple of weeks and let them deal with him 😉
